Friday, November 21st | 9:30am-2:00pm
Meet: @ SAU
COST: $15 per child (adult participants are free) plus veggies for our soup

SAU is making soup, lots of soup! We’re donating the soup to Preble Street’s Food Security Hub. The Food Security Hub currently serves 26 towns in southern Maine, prepares 2000 hot nourishing meals per day and distributes them to our neighbors who need them. Please bring veggies to contribute to our delicious soup!
Come join us in the kitchen at Frinklepod Farm and learn a bit about safe food preparation while we work together to prepare yummy soup for local folks in need. We’ll also be taking some time to write thank you notes during this day. We will reflect a bit on things we’re grateful for and express our thanks with a handmade card or letter.
SAU will be collecting donations from Youth Full Maine’s top needs list for the Month of November. Youth Full Maine manages food pantries in pre-K through 12th-grade schools and hosts regular fresh produce distributions at schools, neighborhood sites, and summer lunch program sites in York County. Please bring donations of food items that are on the list linked above!
What to Bring - your veggies contribution to our soup-making efforts, an apron, a donation for our food drive if you are able, bag lunch, snacks, water bottle.
