Where kids can be kids!

School Around Us Summer Programs are designed to allow children to honor their need to have untethered time for relationships to blossom and to find the joy that summer can bring.

Join us for our 2026 Summer Program!

We are offering eight full weeks of summer programming ~ M-F, 8:30am - 3:30pm

June 29th through August 17th.

School Around Us Summer Programs include all the joys of summer within our daily and weekly structure - trips to local lakes or beaches, waterplay on campus, free time to explore and play in nature, and exciting guided programming that will build lasting memories.

Each week has a different theme!

Our summer programs are guided by educators with experience teaching and guiding youth programs. We spend the entire camp day out of doors, nested in the SAU Pavilion & expanding throughout our 3 acre campus and beyond.

Small group sizes

We intentionally limit our program size and maintain an 8:1 ratio to ensure we honor our holistic values. Read on below for descriptions, rates, and FAQs about our programs.

Please note that payment must be received in full to reserve your child’s spot.

If you are applying for Financial Aid or an alternative payment arrangement, please do not reserve through our website. Complete our Financial Aid Application and we’ll be in touch about registration.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

…about SAU Summer Programs

Is my registration refundable if I withdraw for illness or personal reasons (including Covid)?

In order to run our summer program, we are unable to refund due to any illness or personal reasons.

Does SAU accommodate disabilities, medical needs, and/or food allergies?

Please contact us in advance so we can determine if and how we can best support your child’s needs.

What is the child:staff ratio for summer programming?

We work to keep an 8:1 ratio.

Are staff @  SAU summer programs first aid trained and certified?

Yes! All of our summer program staff have CPR, first aid, and water-safety training and pass a background check.

What supplies, gear, snacks are provided during summer programming (and what do we need to bring from home)?

Children need to bring snacks, lunch, water bottle, bathing suit, towel, sunblock, and, if they are non-swimmers, a life jacket that’s appropriate for their weight (water wings do not count). You may need to provide a child safety seat for your child; SAU has some, but not enough for every camper. All other materials will be supplied by SAU.

Will my child be swimming during SAU summer programming?

Yes! Swimming and water-play are part of our daily routine (weather permitting). All learners must either pass a swim test administered by our staff or wear an approved life vest while swimming. All SAU summer programming staff have completed a water safety training.

If my child is almost 4 or just over 10, may they still enroll in SAU summer programs that are for ages 4 - 10?

Please call us and we can discuss this further to see if SAU would be a good fit for your child.

The program I want is full. Will you run a waitlist?

Yes! We will run a waitlist once a week is full. Join our waitlist HERE

Do you offer financial aid?

Yes! We have a limited amount of funds available based on financial need. If you require financial assistance, or an alternative payment arrangement, please do not register through our website.  Instead, we ask that you fill out our financial aid application. You can access the financial aid application HERE. Applications are being accepted on a rolling basis.
